Preparation
When I finally took the decision to leave for a next adventure I was ecstatic, grating access to an absolute freedom.
The winter was almost here and I was drawing, thinking and asking a lot around me. How I am going to build this trailer?
It took 4 month for me to conceive it and finally build it, in bamboo with epoxy and line fiber, some recycled bicycles parts (breaks, forks, wheels) and a few headaches.
It’s funny, when you decide to follow you red path (the thing you really believe in, what you really want and love), beyond difficulties, you always end up finding this really magic dust, only you can understand that you touched something divine. Unexpected events make your bag lighter.
Recognizing and assuming your childhood Dream is already a huge step. Once you are there, your only responsibility in life should be to take the adult version of you close to it.
First impressions.
Many years ago, I worked for my parents who own a video production company. Because it is a family business, you inevitably end up wearing many hats and being the czar of many different jobs. I mainly managed projects and worked as a video editor. On production, there were times that I was called on to work as an audio tech and was made to wear headphones on long production days. In those days, having a really good set of headphones that picked up every nuance of sound was essential to making sure the client got what they needed. Naturally, my first impression of these headphones is based off of the look of them. They have a classic over-the-ear style that is highlighted by a blue LED light that indicates the power for the noise canceling. The padding on the ear pieces seems adequate for extended usage periods.
They are wired headphones, but the 3.5mm stereo mini-plug cable is detachable. Something else I noticed right of the bat was the very nice carrying case that comes with them. It has a hard plastic exterior with a soft cloth interior that helps to protect the surface of the headphones from scratches. I never truly appreciated cases for headphones until I started carrying them from place-to-place. Now I can’t imagine not having a case.
A great travel compagnon
Gaïa was raised free, as she never felt locked she never really tried to escape and could fly in the open.
Her mother left her after the nest was attacked, which killed her twin. She was two days when she was adopted and grow up surrounded by love, she was a quite spoiled kid!
This first experience traveling with an animal compagnon was demanding but an amazing memory.
R.I.P Gaïa
She was sweet and funny, stubborn and coward…
She is still missing a lot to her adoption family after this accident.
